We are committed to providing and enhancing Pacific student success here at Waikato. But it's not all about classroom learning – we also want you to have an enjoyable time in a supportive environment where you can learn and participate in cultural activities and meet the rest of our Waikato Pacific family!

          The Conch – Pacific Space

          Student Centre, Level Zero, Room 0.03 (right next door to Pita Pit)

          The Conch is a dedicated space to enhance the educational aspirations of Pacific students while supporting their cultural uniqueness. This space is easily located on Level 0 of the Student Centre.

          The Conch is open from 9am – 5pm during the weekday for all Pacific students to use for academic and social purposes. The Conch is home to Fono at the Fale, Cultural Club fonos/meetings, academic and cultural workshops, seminars and individual or group study sessions and cultural practices

          The Conch embodies the University’s commitment to build and enhance the Pacific dimensions of our special character for both domestic and international Pacific students. We hope the space will enable our Pacific learners to feel a larger sense of connectedness to the University campus.
